NXT Great American Bash 2026 was just okay. On its own, it’s a perfectly watchable show, but it had the unfortunate task of taking place during one of the most stacked wrestling weekends of the year. When you’re sharing the spotlight with major events from AEW, TNA, and WWE, simply being “good” doesn’t feel like enough. Compared to everything else, this was clearly the weakest offering. AEW Forbidden Door delivered the best overall wrestling, TNA Slammiversary exceeded expectations, and WWE Night of Champions offered its usual polished spectacle. NXT, by comparison, mostly felt like it was just…there. That’s not to say the show was bad. The matches were fine, nothing actively disappointed, and the talent performed well. It simply lacked the standout moments, urgency, and overall significance needed to distinguish itself during such a loaded weekend. Viewed in isolation, it’s a decent event. Viewed alongside everything else that weekend, it’s a noticeable step down. Best Match: Grey v Vice Rating: 2.5/5 – 70% – Worth Watching
