[Cannes '26] The film presents the story of the surviving guerrillas as an unknown chapter in the history of the Cuban Revolution, first through the account of their 2,400 km odyssey to escape Bolivia with the help of Salvador Allende, and then through the subsequent journey of these peasant revolutionaries turned heroes, whose lives ultimately diverged on opposing sides. However, it lacks a deeper reflection on the revolution and its consequences, devolving into a documentary of interview inserts that relies too heavily on memories, sometimes embellished, reflecting the fragility of memory.
