Disturbing film based on a true story. Not an easy watch but nor should it be.

Pretty good movie. Very intense story based in real life events.

this movie was incredibly exploitive, in my opinion. often when i watch movies that are supposed to portray real-life events, i ask myself: "would the victim in this situation like this movie? would they agree with how they were portrayed? would they agree with how their abuser/aggressor was portrayed?", and i'm often left with a negative answer, unfortunately. you could say that the same thing happened with the jeffrey dahmer series, but that's a whole other topic. in general, i'm just really surprised that this movie was directed by a woman, since the rape scenes are so explicit. i'm honestly ashamed of this movie's portrayal of natascha and i wish i could take my hours back. i would rate it a solid 2/10 because the actors weren't bad, but i still can't praise them for being part of such a terrible representation of her story. btw, this is my first time commenting on a movie on this app. i just felt like i had to after being left horrified with such scenes that weren't necessary AT ALL to the plot of the movie. fuck all the people that made this.

❤x6 This is not what I would call entertainment. It is however a tiny insight into humanity. I don't know how much accurate this movie is (it's based on true events), but I am impressed by the willpower, and tenacity of the kidnapped girl. She had to be nice kidnapper to stay alive, but at the same time she had and kept that utter contempt for him burning. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
