The major problem with this movie is it's leaning too heavily toward the horror side of the story, and not having the talent to make what little comedy it has work. Like, you know how low-budget horror movies kind of become unintentional comedies simply because they're too bad to make the horror work? Yeah, that's this. In all actuality, the movie is better than I thought it was going to be. Although, with a title like _Hansel and Gretel Get Baked_, I was expecting a stoner horror comedy. On paper, I'm sure that's what this was supposed to be, but it's too clunky, and the acting is lacking in places. With a rewrite, a better director, and better actors, this could be a stoner _Shaun of the Dead_. That's how much potential this had. Little moments like Gretel's wardrobe or using Skittles, instead of bread crumbs, as a trail, were very nice touches. Also, the Witch point-blank shooting the cops out of sheer exhaustion was funny. The only time I laughed, in fact. Good idea, poor execution.
I think it could have been better. Has some nice "kills" but the story is kinda weak.
