[VdR '26] A documentary born from the director's conversations with his father, reflecting the history and development of Algerian society through the jacaranda trees that grow in the city of Algiers. These trees arrived in Algiers as a consequence of colonization, another of the imprints that have permeated African society. The traces of civilizations such as the Romans, Byzantines, Jews, and Arabs shape the historical complexity of a country seemingly given over to chaos, while Ameziane Ferhani's humanist perspective unveils a complex city.
