Was an ok show with some bad and boring outcomes. Not sure what WWE was thinking, but this 3 things for me could have been better: 1. Give a proper retirement tour for Cena, So far the tour has been shit, and now they make Cena lose and look so weak. Come on WWE, why keep saying Cena is the GOAT if this is what you guys have for him? 2. Mix-tag match was clownish, not my cup of tea, for me, it could have been better. 3. Main event was a bore-fest. Enough said, and is if they going to take away the title from Cody? Everything else was fine I guess, just expected more with a Match-Card like this.

Wrestlepalooza ended up being a tale of two very different stories. On one hand, it was a major spectacle—WWE’s first grand PLE on the new (and pricey) ESPN deal. That alone gave the show an air of importance, bolstered by the highly anticipated returns of Brock Lesnar and AJ Lee. A couple of the setup matches early on were strong, setting the stage for what could have been an all-timer. On the other hand, the execution didn’t quite meet the sky-high expectations. The world title match landed as average, the mixed tag was fun but didn’t elevate beyond novelty, and the squash match felt flat—made worse by airing opposite the buzzworthy Hangman/Fletcher showdown elsewhere. The women’s title match ended up being the standout of the night, which says a lot about the overall card. In the end, it was fine, but not nearly the groundbreaking event it wanted to be.
