[Locarno '25] The director draws on a sense of punk humor already present in the script that inspired it to tell the story of a woman obsessed with an old singer who actually only performs in seedy dives. Despite the complex themes it addresses, both from a political perspective and from a more personal perspective, what's interesting is that it does so from a playful and fun concept that plays with absurd moments and dialogues full of direct and imperfect humor. At times, it seems as if this narrative structure gets lost in its own concept, but the film also has a very distinct personality.
