Russia is certainly not the best place for protest and artistic freedom at the moment. The short film “Extremist” addresses the topic quite well overall, without really providing many new insights. The acting is solid, and the absurdity of the justice system in autocratic states is well summarized. Perhaps the ending seems a little forced. But overall, the film is definitely worth watching.
