I didn’t have that high of expectations going in and they didn’t even get close to reaching said expectations. This was not a good movie at all. It tried to be funny and really wasn’t. It was just really silly and super corny and not in a good way at all. The script is very boring and has no direction or point to it. The concept is extremely stupid and never amounts to anything at all. It’s pretty boring but did keep me intrigued enough. It’s really gory but not in a fun way. I love gore and it had great practical effects but it just wanted to be disgusting with no purpose. It’s mostly just self mutilation, so if that’s your sort of thing you’ll probably like this. The acting was awful all around outside of Alan Ruck. Odeya Rush was really overacting and just isn’t a great actress in general. As bad as this was though, I have seen way worse and it’s watchable enough. I just won’t be rewatching it ever again. * AMC Crestwood 18
