I frankly had high hopes when this movie started. One of my friends walked away after 10 minutes of it and the other went to bed after about an hour. But, until then, I found the movie to be bold, both visually and creatively. I loved the vibe, and although the cuts and transitions felt sloppy, I loved whatever they were trying to do. The music was nice. I absolutely loved loved loved Frida's costumes. There was an eerie beauty to the way it all unfolded. But then, it got heavily repetitive and infuriatingly boring, a try-hard to land several comedies which worked against itself. The story soon became very bland and the plot lost its novelty. Even though the second half had a lot 'happening', it took me another 3 nights to wrap it up because I kept falling asleep out of boredom. They had run out of the cool content and were trying hard to compensate with laughies. The acting was exaggerated and to an extent it is understandable that it was how they wanted to do this, but even exaggeration has got its limits before it becomes a flumsy puddle of goo before the audience. The climax did end on a cliff-hanger but they could have cut short several junk scenes from this one and ended this mild torture. Still, absolutely admire the weirdness!
