Die Jungs in der Nachbarschaft haben es nicht leicht. Sie haben nur Augen für die fünf hübschen und geheimnisvollen Lisbon-Schwestern. Die Jungen würden alles tun, um die fromm erzogenen Mädchen kennenzulernen. Aber die streng gläubige Mutter und der introvertierte Vater schirmen ihre Töchter von der Außenwelt ab, um sie vor den Gefahren der Pubertät zu schützen. Herzensbrecher Trip Fontaine gelingt es jedoch, die Eltern zu überreden, dass die Mädchen mit ihm und seinen Freunden auf ein Schulfest gehen dürfen. Als eine der Töchter, Lux, erst am Morgen nach der Party nach Hause kommt, eskalieren die Ereignisse im Hause Lisbon.

Masterpiece, I love the atmosphere and the music by Air is stellar. Has a vibe similar to “Drive (2011)” IMHO

I think I liked it. It's slow but that's what it's trying to do. I loved the music choices. Kirsten Dunst is good.

Quite a strong commentary on the romanticization of purity culture and the masking of (religious) abuse under the guise of keeping women innocent. The movie might feel like “superficial” storytelling to some, but that’s the whole point: What we saw of the sisters and their life is all that those teenage boys thought of them, as their understanding and interest in them did not go beyond the idea of loving this perfect innocent girl.
