Handlung
An seinem 18. Geburtstag bekommt Goku von seinem Großvater Gohan einen Dragonball geschenkt. Die Legende besagt, dass derjenige, der alle sieben Dragonballs zusammenbringt, einen Drachen beschwört, der einen beliebigen Wunsch erfüllt. Doch für solchen mythologischen Krempel hat Goku keine Zeit. Er will bei einer Party die asiatische Schulschönheit Chi Chi beeindrucken, indem er den Attacken zweier arroganter Rowdys in Gandhi-Manier politisch korrekt aus dem Weg geht, weshalb diese dummerweise ihr eigenes Auto verschrotten. Wieder daheim muss sich Goku dann wohl oder übel doch der Dragonball-Problematik annehmen. Sein Haus ist zerstört, der Großvater tot und der magische Orb verschwunden. Dahinter steckt Lord Piccolo, der mit Hilfe der Dragonballs einen alten Monsterkumpel wiedererwecken und so seine private Hölle auf Erden erschaffen will. Doch Goku hat Glück, er muss sich der Herausforderung nicht alleine stellen.

I have watched the movie twice. The first time was when it just came out, and the other one was just now. in 2009, this was just a shame. It was a terrible movie because we all loved DBZ and DB, both animé and manga. The adaption is sheit. Goku isnt a kid, he's 18. The love interests are going way to fast and the story is very unclear at some points. In 2022 we are more used to alternate realities and universes because of the Marvel movies. As most adaptions should be watched with alternative eyes, for this movie you really need that. You need to let go of the story Akira Toriyama created we loved so much. Its not a bad movie per say, it's just cheap. Cheap CGI, cheap writing and cheap actors. I think the best actor of them all was Jamie Chung as Chi Chi, but the character also was the best written one.

No...just no...I turned it off after the first 10 minutes and I should do it even earlier on... This is NOT Dragonball... This is NOT Goku! It's just a movie that borrows his name... Sorry...
