A young girl emigrates from Poland to Belgium in the 1990s. On her journey by bus, she escapes into a fantasy world, which naturally works well for an animated film. The style of animation is appealing, with the other characters being depicted as anthropomorphic animals being a particularly striking feature. This provides variety on a visual level, while the plot deals with the topic of migration and the experiences associated with it in a way that is suitable for children. In this regard, the film is a complete success, as the target audience is likely to be children (in addition to award season enthusiasts). "Autokar" is certainly worth watching.
