Hey, everyone look, a Kevin Costner movie that I never heard of until today. I received a text message from my incredible friend Tony asking me if I had ever seen this movie. I had told him that I’d never even heard of it. He replied with “it’s a bob movie”. I love when I get a call or a text from a friend telling me to watch a movie. I love recommendations and it’s so fun coming across hidden gems. There’s something incredible to say about stumbling into a movie you never heard of that you end up falling in love with. Tony was confident I would enjoy this and he was absolutely correct. This starts out pretty heavy on the drama. It’s about two brothers who lost their father to a disease. They decide to enter into a biking race together. If anyone knows me they know that I’m an absolute sucker for sports movies. I also love Kevin Costner and then they threw Rae Dawn Chong in to the supporting cast as well. I was completely all set up to fall in love with this movie. I adored the two of them in this movie. This had some excellent shots of the beautiful landscape. I thought the biking scenes were extremely well done and intense. I was completely on the edge of my seat during that final race. The performances were energetic, lively and passionate. The movie mixed entertainment and drama together perfectly. I only have positive things to say about this movie. I’ve always gravitated toward these brother relationships in movies. Even without having any real brothers myself, I always become gripped and engaged with the relationships. This movie in particular reminded me of the passion and love I once had for competing. Funny enough I was just talking to my mom about this yesterday. She was telling me how she missed seeing the posts. I feel like I’ve never been the same since I stopped. It’s movies like this though that remind me of that passion I once had. I look forward to buying this on Blu-ray and showing it to my dad if he hasn’t seen it before. I think he’d be super into this one as well. Huge thanks to the closest person I have to a brother for the recommendation. I loved this movie! * Recommended by Tony
