[Fantasia '25] This tribute to Nobuhiko Ôbayashi, filmed in his hometown of Onomichi, also the setting for films by Yasujirō Ozu and Kaneto Shindô, is a curious mix of romantic drama and science fiction, which ends up working better in the first concept than in the second, creating a nostalgic tone that asks questions about the events of our lives: "If we could change the past, what would happen?" But it ends up being a melancholic film that is more interested in how fantastic events affect personal relationships than in the construction of these events themselves.
