Debütfilm der Künstlerin Miranda July voller Komik und verflochtener Plots. Ein Handlungsstrang zeigt einen Vater, der seine Ehe beendet, ein zweiter eine Videokünstlerin (gespielt von der Regisseurin selbst), welche verzweifelt versucht, ihren Film in einem Museum für moderne Kunst unterzubringen. Der Film wurde beim Filmfestival Cannes mit der Caméra d’or ausgezeichnet.

I’m not gonna lie, if there was a message in this film it went right over my head. I did find myself engaged as I patiently waited to see how everything was going to play out but as the end credits rolled I was mystified. This was most definitely a bit weird to watch but maybe that was point or maybe I’m just too simple minded.

An indie drama about two people who don't seem to fit well into the "normal" world yet have so much to offer. The story is decent but it is John Hawkes and Miranda July that really make this film unique. follow me at https://IHATEBadMovies.com
