I can't stand modern filmmaking anymore. How can you call this an ACTION movie? What nonsense! Any action, if you can call it that, is lazy and effortless. It's safe, with no sense of urgency or threat. Please someone give Michael Bay a job.

Terrible all over but the daughter storyline is just so bad I have to give this the lowest rating possible. Why is Apple financing this garbage? Tobacco causes cancer btw.

Some of the people in these comments need to seriously set their expectations more appropriately. This is a family Christmas movie. The focus is never going to be on an incredible story, incredible action, or incredible acting. The focus is on a fun, wholesome family adventure, and they deliver that. The characters, locations and action set pieces are lighthearted fun. If you go in expecting much more than that, then you have weird expectations and that's entirely on you, not the film.
