Caveat this is a Hallmark movie so of course you will need to suspend disbelief Hallmark rating 8/10 Regular rating 7/10 Always love seeing Chris McNally in romance films. And I have to say he was rocking the longer hair. The premise of the movie was the best part about the film - crashing parties - that was silly fun. Lyndsey and Daniella worked really well as a best friend comedy duo The eventual conflict/slash problem was forced and a bit unbelievable but was not too over played so the movie was saved by a strong cast and setting
Funny and entertaining comedy with a nice cast. I recall Lyndsy from "Kick-Ass" movies and Daniella from the great sitcom "Baby Daddy", overall they were amusing to watch.
This movie wants tone a woke “Wedding crashers” and a “Pretty Woman” but it is neither. The girls are unlikable and it is obvious why they are not married. The story is stupid, naive and unbelievable. There is a lawyer who does not verify who he is dealing with and who for whom “lying is the worst thing” (… he is a lawyer …). The movie does also not decide who the main protagonist is. Poor girls have the money to have daily new designer clothes, … they lie (badly) into everyone’s face and all are too stupid to notice the obvious. The valet is behaving like a party guest and no one cares … In summary: Most things are just wrong, distracting and the story is forced and so unrealistic that you just can not ignore it. Furthermore the acting is average at best. Well, even the time spent writing this review was too much attention for such a disaster. Watch “Wedding crashers” instead. That one is great.
Both main actresses were rather annoying. Also, a big plot hole: why didn't Toni ask her father to sign on as the consultant...that way she would have avoided any legal jeopardy... It's one of those movies that mistakes loud and stupid as being funny.
