I’m always up for a Samara Weaving film, and once again she proves why she’s one of the most exciting actors working today. She has this rare ability to balance genuine vulnerability with an absolute kick-ass attitude, making every scene feel unpredictable and compelling. Kyle Gallner is the perfect partner. He brings an effortless charm that makes their chemistry feel completely natural, and together they carry the film from beginning to end. On the surface it’s a crime thriller, but at its heart it’s a romance. Watching the relationship develop while the film cleverly weaves in lessons on how to pull off a robbery is such a refreshing idea. The parallel between falling in love and planning a crime gives the story a unique rhythm that keeps you invested in both. The whole film has a confident, stylish energy. It’s sexy without trying too hard, cool without feeling forced, and backed up by stellar performances from both leads. Their rollercoaster romance is beautiful, tragic and gripping from the opening scenes, making it easy to become emotionally invested in where it all ends. If you’re after a crime thriller with real chemistry, plenty of style and two hugely charismatic leads, Carolina Caroline is well worth your time. If you liked…True Romance, Mr. Right, Bones and All
Quite good. Reminds me of movies from the seventies and eighties more than current movies. The cast is great. It's almost entirely Samara Weaving and Kyle Gallner, and they're terrific. It's a genre piece, but well done. You know what you're getting going in, and the movie delivers on that.
As far as crime spree movies go it doesn't break any ground but the performances within it are outstanding enough to keep your attention and the story is compelling enough to keep you wrapped. Definitely a hidden gem to enjoy.
Pretty good if you give it a chance
Didn’t expect a movie like this to move me and bring me to tears. Especially when she meets her mother.
