Interesting but it feels a lot like tv. Also don't watch part two, pretend it wasn't made.

Slow in the beginning but picked up after 30 minutes. Some good action... Now for part 2. 👍

One Mile, Chapter One and Two, is not inherently bad, however its pace is rather slow. The acting is nothing to write home about, though C. Thomas Howell camps a rather convincing antagonist. Ryan Philippe acting in there is rather wooden. Amélie Hoeferle Plays the kidnapped daughter and is rather good at it, going from terrified to resolute. The scenery is gorgeous, filmed in British Columbia, and the cinematography doe it justice. I don't really get why it had to be two movies though, could have been one, with some editing to keep the pace a little tighter (and avoid the unnecessary memory flashbacks in the second part), and it might have been better that way. As it is the total runtime of 2h46 (including the credits) feels a bit too long. In conclusion it's good enough for a rainy Sunday afternoon, but don't expect a masterpiece.

When Rambo meets Taken kind of! The story moves at a solid pace, and once things escalate, the suspense stays consistent. It's straightforward, tense, and visually well shot without overcomplicating itself.Ryan is good like always.

Not too bad for a durect to cable film. the writing and dialogues were a bit too light that it's clearly AI assisted writing. The funny thing is the back atory didn't get exposed and explored, just the 'building something good'. What it implies is a cult. The human writer (I hope) was smart enough to camouflage the villains as redneck, yet these redneck spoke like a city gang members. Overall, it's not too bad, hopefully the second installment is as hood.
