Low budget movie. Terrible acting.
I was pretty excited for this when I watched a trailer for it. I thought it looked like a pretty unique vampire movie. It has some really cool moments and is decently entraining. The pacing was a big issue for me. I also thought the dialogue was pretty awful. This honestly needed more horror elements and a better script. The potential was there for a super original and unique horror experience but it kind of failed at executing that. I liked Justin Long and Jermaine Fowler but the rest of the cast was terrible. The performances left a lot to desired. It had some really great visuals and gore but this was honestly a bit of a bummer. It wasn’t really bad but it could’ve been so much better. * Double Feature at AMC Crestwood 18
It kept me entertained It wasnt too bad but it wasn't really good
A shockingly bad effort from the creative team behind Lowlife. Gone is that film's sophisticated structural ambition, replaced here by a flat, straightforward linear plot. It is dragged down by poorly executed, stylized post-production filters and editing tricks that throw an already faltering narrative out of pace. Prows clearly loves having marginalized characters reclaim their heritage as a weapon, but the social commentary is buried too deep under a visual and narrative mess.
