Well-made, well-directed, with great actors and a great director. After watching it, it seems like George Lucas drew inspiration from this film for the attack on the Death Star in *Star Wars*.

Glorious! What a wonderful movie to watch.

Classic WWII movie, depicting one of its most well-known raids. There is just the right tone of British RAF 'stiff upper lip', the effects are adequate, given their age and you should overlook the dog's name. Different times, different standards. The successful breaching of the Ruhr dams was not as decisive as perhaps the film indicates. That doesn't detract in any way from the bravery and skill of the crews involved, never mind the ingenuity of Barnes Wallis.

Based on a little known story of WW2, this is a good movie for lovers of the genre.

The best WW2 aviation movie. Probably a solid 45 mins of actual Lancasters flying. A great cast, superb plot, and easy to see why it was inspiration for the attack on the Death Star in Star Wars. The dog’s name is a racial slur which I assume why this movie has been largely scrubbed from any legit digital provider.
