Billkin and PP show once again why they are such an iconic pair in this wild mix of ghost story and romance. Visually, it’s a fantastic experience with stunning colors and environments, but the humor is incredibly loud and chaotic. Honestly, it was a bit much for my dry Swedish humor. Even though the story is completely over-the-top and the editing feels quite frantic and stressful, their amazing chemistry and the way they look at each other makes it all feel grounded and real. It’s a stylish movie that definitely requires being in the right mood for a heavy dose of Thai slapstick madness. The slapstick elements really dominate the pacing, but those small, quiet moments between the leads carry a lot of weight. It’s a strange balance where the loud comedy constantly crashes into the romantic tension, but Billkin and PP manage to keep the heart of the story alive. The visuals and the intense connection between them make the chaotic journey worth it, even when the editing feels like it's moving a hundred miles an hour.
This movie is a remake of the Taiwanese version. I really loved the original, but the Thai version is honestly very well done too. I laughed more than I expected.
