Never thought a waitress scene in TV would make me so emotional. They don't make them like this one anymore. Absolutely loved it.
As my Amy Adams film fest continues it's nice to see her in a leading role. The film and her character have a real charm and the people are believable in their complexity. Amy plays a struggling single mother with some complicated relationships and the plot is a nice journey for her. Some things felt a little unfinished (like Norah's side story with Lynn) but overall it left me with a positive feeling for everyone.
Sunshine Cleaning manages to be a charming, offbeat indie that navigates the grime of its subject matter with a surprisingly light touch. While the film is fairly weightless in its narrative stakes, it thrives as a piece of quirky fun that relies heavily on the chemistry of its central duo. Amy Adams and Emily Blunt deliver performances that elevate the material, grounding the whimsical premise with some actual moving moments.
Watched this movie just based off the cast. Expected Comedy mostly. But, it hit emotionally in a lot of ways. Surprisingly good, except for the last 5 minutes or so of the movie. Those are just confusing to me. Overall a good watch and a good time.
Moving the company forward. Ok.
