Good action, meh story, terrible dialogues. I often had no idea what was happening, but I kept watching anyway.
Jason Stathom, sh!tty movies as always. If you are an action movie fan this is for you otherwise the acting is just horrific.
Bodhi Rae Breathnach plays a kid on the run pretty well, and Statham is a good protector. Good and varied action. Stealthily picking guys off one-by-one, good car chase, good fight with improvised weapons, and good shootouts. I like this significantly more than A Working Man, but not as much as The Beekeeper.
It's your generic Jason Stathom movie. He comes in,beats the crap out of everybody, and then calmly leaves.Jason brings his usual gruff, charismatic and likeable screen presence. The action, the fighting, it's all there, and it's great. Get some snacks and drinks, turn your brain off, and enjoy.
Story and writing 6/10 Acting and characters 6.5/10 Direction and cinematography 7/10 Sound and music 6/10 Entertainment value 6/10 Shelter is like a warm blanket you didn't ask for comforting enough to keep you watching but not exactly thrilling. The story shuffles along, the characters try their best but mostly shrug through the drama, and the direction just leans into mood like it's too polite to get messy. Cinematography is decent, sound does its job without stealing the spotlight, and by the end you're mildly entertained but mostly thinking, "Well, that was... fine." Not a banger, but it won't make vou throw things at the screen either
