[Sheffield '24] In this coming-of-age documentary the camera follows the protagonist since he lives in a small town in the Artsakh region, where he plays with other children and dreams of being dentist while finding remains from other moments of the conflict, until he experiences first-hand the consequences of the Azerbaijani invasions. Trying to maintain a position of observation, which is sometimes broken by Vrej's interlocution, the director reflects the tense normality of life in a place where war is always on the verge of breaking out. And in this way it speaks, without theoretical expositions, of the traumas driven by the hope that one day a lasting peace will be found, something that events insist on preventing.
