Weak character arc, full of self deprecating jokes and is generally unfunny. This movie serves the same faith as Matrix.

Massively disappointing!There is barely a story. It feels like a collection of random scenes thrown together, filled with bad acting, over-the-top performances, and jokes that simply do not land. It is not funny, it is not clever, and it is not worth your time.

I didn't laugh once. I only chuckled for a split second, but for a comedy that's an hour and 30 minutes long, that's really bad. I would say that about 15 or 20 minutes in, I realized I hadn't laughed once. And no, it's not because I have no sense of humor or was offended. It just wasn't funny. I liked Scary Movie 1, 2 & 3, but this is really bad. Scary Movie 4 is funnier than this. 'Every line will be crossed' is the movie's tagline, and yet it was very safe. I wanted to have a laugh and was looking forward to it, but it was so disappointing in the most depressing way. I hope part 7 will be better.

Don’t go see this in theaters right now—if you absolutely have to watch it, I recommend waiting for it to come out on VOD, and you’ll thank me later xD First of all, this movie has no script, and the scenes—one after another—are like they were pulled out of ass and don’t flow together at all. I love absurd humor, but 90% of the jokes/gags here seem like they were written by a group of kindergarteners, and for the remaining 10%, I’m giving this movie such a high rating ;]

After the last few years if you told me we would be getting a new Scary Movie film in 2026 I would of said your talking a load of shit no way did I think we would see this type of comedy again but I’m so happy with the way society has changed hopefully we can get more of these types of movies back. As for Scary movie I’ve made it no secret that the 1st is one of my favourite comedies ever also a movie I can watch over and over and still find it just as hilarious, the 3rd and 4th are great aswell and the second while it’s nowhere near the first it’s still so entertaining and yeah we’ll forget about the 5th one. So when it was officially announced there was a scary movie 6 coming out I was in denial surely there’s no way people can’t take comedy like that anymore, but also the freaking Wayan Brothers would also be returning that made me extremely hyped and then we got the trailer I rewatched that on loop so many great choices and it looked SO GOOD!!!. Yeah as you could guess scary movie 6 was a easy front runner for my most anticipated movie this year I wanted it to be a 10 of course and while it was awesome we even got this movie in the first place I’ll be honest it kinda didn’t live up to my expectations, I’m not saying it’s bad at all it’s got some great hysterical Scary movie humour you’d expect and it’s full of nostalgia but also I was kinda of expecting more and let’s get into why shall we. Like I said the trailer was perfect to me that’s what immediately made think wow that’s going to bring comedy back to being fun but I was little worried about this anyway they put most of the best parts in the trailer and didn’t expand them that much like for instance the smile, terrifier and weapons parts were all funny but they really could of done so much more with them, we only got one Terrifier scene that was in the trailer anyway. Just by the start of the movie I had a bad feeling that I wouldn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I would, sadly some jokes just didn’t hit for me, a lot did there’s some piss laughing moments for sure and I honestly don’t care about if these movies have a plot because there not supposed to be taken seriously but the overall movie wasn’t paced well each movie spoof didn’t get enough time to breath to enjoy it enough. The last thing that thing that I wasn’t keen on was the new actors they didn’t do much for me tbh maybe a big reason some of the jokes weren’t hitting I guess. Positives time bitch I hated putting negatives in this review so lets get to the good things ffs. Just seeing the original gang back together is one hell of a nostalgic feeling I love all of them especially Brenda and Cindy the iconic duo, Ray (gay icon) “ sorry wrong guy”, Deputy Doofy always makes me laugh to see this version of Dewey and my personal favourite Shorty I think he made this movie most of the best parts was with him mostly getting fucked up with Ghostface lol times never change. No surprise Scream was heavily featured with the film being set around scream 5 even though I said I wasn’t big on the pacing of the movie I always think the wayans do a great job setting and mixing the scream theme around the rest of the movie. The Smile part was still one of my favourites that’s just made to parodied, although I haven’t watched Substance I know the basic idea of the film this was a pretty fun one great to have Shorthand back too. Can’t believe they actually added a little white Chicks here no doubt a huge highlight of the movie please lead to a sequel for that next, also the ending was pretty cool with the ghostfaces reveals and the Shaq cameo definitely got me laughing. So overall okay not to the level I wanted whatsoever it’s still a enjoyable addition to the franchise just wish the comedy hit more certain jokes felt like they was repeating over and over, very hard film to rate because I liked it but had a few issues aswell and it wasn’t close to my expectations I’ll go 7.8/10 I hope on a rewatch this grows on me.
