Given this film’s reputation I was expecting a little better. It’s OK but it does nothing to distinguish itself from a typical drama.

Bold movie for one being produced in as well was financed by the Philippines. Also it probably will never be screened there and it really should. The Q&A after the movie, again, was eyeopening and my hat is off to Elijah Canlas who played Miggs. He luckily is VERY unlike his character in the movie and a true ally. Good movie that does not demonize one side or the other and maybe should start screening in the US sooner than later. :<
