Thudarum delivers a powerful emotional drama, grounded in strong performances and tight storytelling. Mohanlal, the complete actor, is in top form—subtle, restrained, and deeply affecting as Shanmughan. This is one of his most honest performances in years, carrying the film with quiet intensity. Prakash Varma is a surprise package. As CI George Mathen, he brings a menacing calm that makes the film’s conflict feel real and chilling. Binu Pappu as SI Benny also deserves special mention—his portrayal of a morally torn officer adds heart and humanity to the police angle. Director Tharun Moorthy builds the story patiently, and it pays off. The emotional payoff is strong, and the cinematography captures both Kerala’s beauty and the film’s undercurrent of tension. A must-watch if you’re into performance-driven Malayalam cinema.
Holy shit. Mohanlal can still perform well. A movie with a pretty predictable story but dazzles in execution. Tharun Moorthy did wonders with the direction and, like I said, Mohanlal performed amazingly well. The rest of the cast was amazing as well, with the Villain being a standout. The cinematography was top notch and the music complimented everything really well. Its a must watch for all Mohanlal fans.
A top notch thriller that starts slow but once gets the pace, only takes it higher. Mohanlal delivers a strong performance, with writing taking care of small details including the open ending which was a W.
Love the way the story unfolds through the movie and Mohanlal was great but needed closure at the end.
Acting was good, story was flat as plot was predictable. One time watch.
