Really enjoyable watch but it’s also just essentially Paul McCartney quietly litigating a series of arguments that about four people on earth still care about. Unfortunately one of those four people is Paul McCartney, which is funny because he is literally Paul McCartney – a man who has spent roughly sixty years being adored in every room he walks into by basically every human being alive. And yet the emotional engine of the film is still him going “just to be clear, I did NOT break up The Beatles”, which, fair enough, he probably didn’t! But it is quite amazing watching an 83-year-old man with the most successful songwriting career in history still doing a bit of shadow-boxing with Rolling Stone reviews from the 70s. It’s oddly sweet but also slightly surreal. You want to gently tap him on the shoulder and say: mate, you wrote Let It Be, you’re fine
A great documentary about Paul's other band. Great music and great storytelling. I'm glad to hear Sean's comments too.
