A great film that stands out from the typical Bollywood fare. The story offers a refreshing change, with well-composed songs and a few genuinely emotional, tear-jerking moments.
Saiyaara is widely seen as a successful modern-retelling of a classic Bollywood love story. It combines Mohit Suri's trademark heartbreak, a stirring musical score, and star-making lead debuts to deliver a film that resonates, especially with a younger audience. While it falters in writing and originality, it remains a heartfelt, occasionally gut-wrenching ride for romance and music lovers.
Saiyaara is basically a rip-off of Korean Movie from a decade ago "A Moment to Remember" with a Hindi playlist. It replaces genuine emotion with heavy melodrama and a background score that practically screams at you to cry. If you’ve never seen the 2004 original, you might find this passable. For everyone else? Skip this expensive photocopy and just watch the Korean version.
It’s been a while since I shared an Indian movie recommendation—so here’s one for all the romance lovers! Let me tell you about it: The story follows a guy who dreams of becoming a singer and a girl who’s a writer. They meet by chance, and their love story begins... But then something happens—something that shouldn’t happen. It’s a romantic film, and for the first time ever, I’ll say it: the emotions were heavy. The direction was flawless—every scene felt beautifully crafted. Acting? Outstanding—especially Ahaan, which really surprised me since this is his first film! The female lead, Anette, was also fantastic—she brought grace and emotion to the screen. The music is lovely and really adds to the film’s atmosphere. I highly recommend this movie—it’s a must-watch if you enjoy heartfelt, emotional romances. My rating: 8/10
Some parts drag and a few things don’t quite add up, but the emotions still land. Ahaan Panday does well for a debut, bringing the right mix of charm and intensity, while Aneet Padda carries the softer emotional weight with ease. Gives off those Aashiqui 2 vibes, just without songs on that level. Heavy on feelings, light on logic. But it works. 7/10
