Boring, and the in your face shaky camera with fast editing cuts made me sick.

A masterpiece of a movie, truly amazing. A great intense movie that keeps you focused, it’s like you are experiencing it yourself as the camera work techniques makes you feel like you are actually there. The characters storys are amazing. You can tell they used real fire on set as everything looked real and they used real fire footage too. I highly recommend. 10/10. Oh! Its based on a true story too. I do attend to find that the movies i like the most are the ones a lot of other people don’t like for some reason i guess thats why they called hidden gem movies which is what this movie going to be within a year. I do get why some people might not like it because of camera work is a bit shaky, i get it because i did watch movies thats a lot worse camera work than this and a lot of people actually like that movie when I didn’t, I forgot what that movie was called but yeah. But with this movie after the first 10 mins the camera gets a lot better and more stable.

A mediocre time killer that I would never watch again.

Really enjoys this. Greengrass makes these movies in his sleep and, in my opinion, makes them the best. I'm not entirely getting the negativity for this film. Yes, sure, there are a few embellishments from Hollywood but, its a movie. From all accounts, a faithful retelling of an extremely heroic story from two of the three adults that were on the bus.

Once again I'm reminded why adaptations of true stories rarely win me over. First, you've got the predictability problem - when the conclusion is inevitable, it really deflates tension. Second, they often suffer from an incredibly narrow scope - there's just not enough story here to keep me invested in a 2+ hour film, and the story that is here is super simple. This is only compounded by the melodramatic elements that, whether factual or not, feel like classic Hollywood embellishment being used to add drama and stretch the story (e.g., conflict with boss, son being sick, and several of the more over-the-top interactions with the fire itself). While this all sounds quite negative, the movie is far from bad. The production and performances are both solid, but they're unfortunately in service of a story that I think is better consumed in the form of a Wikipedia article.
