I wanted to love this one, but it left me feeling kinda meh. It’s got this big idea of mixing a father-son drama with some heavy-duty patriotism in Kashmir, but it doesn’t quite hit the mark. So, the story follows Colonel Vijay Menon and his son Harman, who gets mixed up with some bad guys. Kajol plays Meher, the mom trying to hold it all together. Sounds intense, right? But here’s the thing: it’s so predictable. The trailer basically spills everything, Harman’s alive, he’s not a good kid anymore, and yeah, he’s got a suicide mission vibe. No surprises there. The one twist with Kajol’s character being tied to the terrorists? It just flops because they don’t drop any hints. And if she switched sides ages ago, how’s she still feeding info to the cops? Makes no sense. The emotions? They’re just not there most of the time. I didn’t feel completely what they were trying to show. They’re going for this deep father-son thing mixed with love for the country, and it kinda works, but it’s half-baked. Like, Vijay lets his innocent kid die at the start but then risks it all to save him when he’s a terrorist? “What’s the logic, bro?” And don’t get me started on the time jump, eight years pass, Harman’s all grown up, but Kajol and Prithviraj look the same. Oh, and the movie keeps explaining stuff over and over. Like, I get it, you don’t need to spoon-feed me every five minutes! The ending’s a mess too, Kajol gets stabbed and dies, but Vijay and Harman take bullets and just keep going? “Are they superheroes now?” But it’s not all bad. The music’s pretty dope. The songs, even if some are remade, fit the mood and got me a little emotional. Kashmir looks stunning, those visuals are straight-up gorgeous, props to the cinematographer. And the acting? Kajol was good as the mom, she’s got these moments where you really feel her pain. Prithviraj is solid too, all intense and army-guy vibes. Ibrahim’s okay, does some cool fight scenes but doesn’t say much, so hard to judge. Now, Mihir Ahuja? Dude, he’s the real deal. His villain vibes are so good, you can see the evil in his eyes. It tries hard but feels like a missed shot. Great cast, awesome visuals, nice music, but the story’s too predictable, and the emotions don’t land. It can be a one time watch but don’t expect to be blown away.
