Excellent. My favorite Peckinpah so far. Everything it has to say just works so well for me. Oats' doomed mission, and how he handles it, is so perfectly done.

Warren Oates continues to impress; this is a grueling, weary, desperate performance that has stuck with me now for days. The movie is fine for the most part, although it really sagged in the middle third and almost lost me, as did the repeated use of violence against women.

Good 70s movie but, it lacked the umpf of some of his other movies.

Not as exciting or interesting as I expected.

"Get out, Goddammit! Get outta here... you son-of-a-bitch or I'll kill you right there! Will you get, Goddammit? Move when I say move! You motherfucker! Look at me with your damn fucking eyes."
