Well damn, this one's actually watchable, pretty good for a shark movie. I like the premise and the setting caused by the tsunami. Sharks in a supermarket is something I haven't seen before and the set they created is better than anything I expected going into a shark movie. It gets repetitive though because we stay in the same set for the majority of the movie. The shark effects were atrocious in the opening scene but for the rest of the movie they're actually fine. A few decent bloody kills and the bodies in the water looked like practical effects. Too much group dynamics which doesn't work that well because the characters are bland. I like the twists and turns of characters becoming villains though, adds to the sillyness and keeps it entertaining.
Wayyyyy too many survivors!
Shoutout to the miniature dog whose name is Bully, that's hilarious.
This actually was a surprisingly good and entertaining movie.
Before Sharknado, there was ...Bait It's a fully funded proper "shark in a shop" movie! Bait doesn't have the same blatant satirical humour as Sharknado - but obviously you can't make a movie like this without the odd amusing scene... But if you like Shark movies, or mild thriller / horror, you should add Bait to your ~~hook~~ list
The Poseidon Adventure but with a grocery store and sharks.
