I think I liked this movie as a child? Either way, didn’t really hold up to the test of time for me. It was ok I guess, but too cheesy in a not so good way.
An injection of testosterone and natural energy.
"There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese." Always wanted to see this, don't know why. Maybe because it really looked like the ultimate 80's movie? I don't know but something appealed to me. After having seen the movie it must be Michael J. Fox. He really saved the movie, alongside Stile's shirts. My favorite? "What are you looking at Dicknose", it made me laugh. Anyway Teen Wolf isn't anything special but it is a timecapsule movie. It is so 80's. From the soundtrack, to the acting, to the feel of the movie. We also get the great scene that suddenly Scott's (Michael J. Fox) dad is also a werewolf. I loved it. And the scene were he's going to buy a keg. Those red eyes really helped! Happy to have finally seen Teen Wolf but still not really sure if I expected more from it. A fun blast from the past!
Not every cult movie is necessarily a good one. A good example of this is “Teen Wolf”—a” movie that didn't impress me at all. Only leading man Michael J. Fox is a selling point; he has the right presence. But apart from that, it's a very underwhelming movie. The characters are pretty flat and clichéd, the actors are rather mediocre, and the direction is boring. The never-ending basketball sequences in particular are unbearable. In the end, Fox saves what can be saved, but I really would have imagined “Teen Wolf” to be much more fun.
This is what the ultimate male fantasy looks like.
