Besides casting the wrong person for the lead, I actually thought this was cute. Too bad the lead cannot act at all smh.

_Christmas in Notting Hill_ is a convoluted and rather lazy Hallmark film. The story follows a special ed teacher who goes to London for Christmas to see her sister, and ends up falling for a professional soccer player who’s recovering from an injury. It starts off fairly good with a standard vacation romance plot, but then it takes a turn, and then another, and then another. And the acting gets progressively worse as the characters turn into one-dimensional stereotypes. However, some of the comedy works and film does a nice job at using the London setting. And the soundtrack is also well-done; with some festive and energetic music. It has its moments, but _Christmas in Notting Hill_ is a yuletide mess.
