I love a lazy movie, lazy in the sense that it isn't in a hurry. It takes its time telling us what it needs to tell us. It is more than comfortable resting on a shot until we are so saturated with it—so familiar with it—that we almost drown in it. Almost. 5 stars.
It's a Jim Jarmusch movie, through and through. Some will appreciate him more than I do, others less. I like that his movies are voyeuristic and take their time getting to where they are going (are they going anywhere?). Some scenes and stories work, others not as much. (shrugs) As you can tell, I am having a hard time commenting on it, so I'll stop. follow me at https://IHATEBadMovies.com or facebook IHATEBadMovies
So, without a doubt, my favorite movie of all time. Why can't I find someone in life that appreciates this as much as me?
In Memphis, a series of stories intersect.
