If you’re a fan of Rebecca St. James or King + Country… you will love this movie. It is about the Smallbone Family’s moving to America after their Dad’s concert promotion collapses during the Australian Recession of the early 90’s. Though out the film you see how their mother is the backbone of the family as they struggle and trust God to lead them through and help their Dad find a job. They don’t shy away from the struggles or the challenges but they do show how God uses the people around them to help them at different times. This was a better film than I had expected. I would recommend watching it.
Wow, simply amazing. Stand up and cheer! Hallelujah! Do yourself a favor and watch this movie.
This move does have something inspiring and uplifting, given that it is inspired by a true story that ended well. It s also well acted and solidly produced. I find though that, while it shows the challenges and hardships that finally end in success, it misses to mention that for most people in the same situation, it does not. Especially in the US, it is business first and little room for pity and compassion. The parents that put their family in this situation should be shamed and not applauded. They were lucky in the end, but that is no strategy for life for one’s family. So, the movie is yes … but.
okay how much money did they pay to make this abt themselves cause who gaf
