This movie isn't going to be for everyone because of the subject matter - relationships, quality of life, aging, etc. Also, it very much has the feel of a play. But if you are into talking character studies, you will probably enjoy this movie. The leads are fantastic, and it is so refreshing to see the eldery character in the movie treated with the respect that she deserved. The actor that played that character was amazing, but I don't know if her character has the emotional punch without the emotional center of the movie created by Elizabeth Reaser. follow me at https://IHATEBadMovies.com or facebook IHATEBadMovies
Disappointing. Call it a comedy, but it's far from comedic. Call it a drama, but there's barely any mystery or tension. Casting charismatic talent like Pedro Pascal, Walton Goggins, and Rufus Sewell just to keep them separated feels like a waste. None of the plot points really get anywhere until about 20 minutes in, and then it takes another 20 minutes just to move anywhere else. By the time 40 minutes had passed, I felt cheated by what could have been, so I gave up and turned it off. I got the message, but the delivery was irritatingly boring.
