This was actually great. Doesn't feel like a German production at all. I's overall super stylishly filmed - I loved the contrasts between Bavaria and LA and the overall 80s feeling. There was a lot of attention to detail in many scenes and sets. The pacing is well done and the actors are all doing a fantastic job. I'm usually not a big fan of Matthias Schweighöfer as an actor, but this was his best perfomance to date. The idea of breaking the 4th wall from time to time worked really well and adds to the emotional investment. Of course there is some good fun in it as well. I really loved the ending, the last 10 minutes. Ending a tragic story like this on such a nice and reconciling note is a great accomplishment.

I know the story, was young during that unique some sensation but i remember after the songs and i loved them. I do not know how accurate was the movie but it was a great biopic movie. Very entertaining, very well acted and with unique perspectives. The story was very well unravel and told. The last 10 minutes were rough and i love the ending they way they do it "one last time". Well worth the watch.
