Eine dreiteilige Fabel über einen Mann, der keine Wahl hat und versucht, sein Leben selbst in die Hand zu nehmen; über einen Polizisten, der beunruhigt ist, dass seine auf See vermisste Frau zurückgekehrt ist und ein anderer Mensch zu sein scheint; und über eine Frau, die entschlossen ist, einen bestimmten Menschen mit einer besonderen Fähigkeit zu finden, der dazu bestimmt ist, ein hervorragender geistiger Führer zu werden.

Pretentious bullshit that loses its own thread and leaves you with a disjointed and, in the end, just plain boring mess. The shock value from absurd twists and turns dressed up with violent, hyper sexualized, and gross coverings don't make up for the empty shell of content underneath. It isn't meaningful allegory. It isn't deep. It's intellectual vomit disguised as something important or, even worse, something clever, and I want 3 hours of my life back. I'm not a huge fan of Lanthimos, but I at least found value in his other works. This just felt like the weird kid in high school where people assume they're intellectual because they're really weird, when in reality they're just spewing nonsense and hoping no one notices the disconnect isn't because they're smarter or deeper than you.
Curse Emma Stone and her sex scenes, making me watch bad movies.
I walked out after the first two acts, didn't feel like wasting another hour of my life on a movie that's clearly just trying to see how far it can stretch itself and the audience's patience for the sake of "art"
Yorgos Lanthimos is a very strange storyteller. I often love the ideas behind his work and the cinematic elements, but the plot points themselves are Greek to me.
