Superb movie. ridiculously good one to watch. some people complain about the slow pace at the start of the movie, but i enjoyed every bit of it. one of the best performance of Asif ali without a doubt. loved it. i blame myself for not watching this one for this long. definitely going to re-watch it.
Weird, but also insane. The first 30 minutes or so dragged on but the pace caught up after that and more than compensated for the initial deficit. The details are simply clever and everything falls into place towards the end. If you are someone inattentive to all the minute aspects, you might need a rewatch to grasp it all. Some unnecessarily woven trajectories in the story seemed weak and floppy to me. I only needed to see Appu Pillai looking at his phone while speaking to the official who came to his house to decode what was happening. The prospects of where the plot could go were unbelievable and shocking at each turn. This might offend some, but may I add that the end served justice to all the characters, from Chachu to AP?
At first it feels like one of those quiet mystery dramas where everyone is hiding something, and slowly you realize the film is hiding things from you too. The atmosphere carries a lot here. Forests, silence, pauses, memories, every scene feels uneasy without trying too hard. It trusts the audience enough to stay patient. What worked most for me was how emotional it became underneath the mystery. Not loud emotions, just regret, confusion, loss, all sitting quietly inside the characters. The reveal changes the entire way you look at everything before it. And instead of going for shock alone, it actually adds weight to the story. Very controlled film. Slow in parts, but this time the slowness feels intentional and rewarding.
Gave 9 for the topic and story but genuinely, I feel it's direction that could have been a little bit tighter. Film could have been told directly through the perspective of the girl but it was kinda messy soup. Still, a solid 9 and 💯 loved the ending
Not up to the hype over ratted
