What an M, E, double S mess. Possibly the worst movie I've seen for a long time, one that is sprinkled with brief glimpses of meaning and depth but ultimately is one long string of gross-out poop jokes and insufferable whining. So much is teased and toyed at that feels like the first draft of a typical A24 production, but the lesser-Eggers decide that'd be too interesting and instead devolve to a weird comedy-horror hybrid that is neither funny nor scary. A literal waste of time, I'm amazed A24 kept their name on this, but I guess nepotism is a hell of a drug.

Like Heredit, because it's Hereditary without any 'scary' bits. Rosemary's Gran couldn't make up it's mind if it wanted to be nana as a bully or something supernatural so it just sat on the fence and was neither.

When I first saw Brandy and A24, the excitement was real.. but this film was just rubbish. Great seeing Brandy back in films, but this was so far from being a horror, it’s more a really bad comedy. It was like one of those dumb films where shit, piss and farts would only make a child laugh. Anyways, it was dumb

This was a pretty good thriller. Kathryn Hunter is incredibly despicable in it. She's such a fantastic actress. The movie was different than I was expecting, but in a good way. It didn't give in to a lot of the tropes.
