My review will be what Judy Greer said in an interview in 2014: >"I don't know why that movie got so fucked up. I don't understand it. I thought the script was fine. Honest to God, I didn't get the big deal. I don't know who kept making them fuck with it. Then we shot the movie for, like, seven years. I think they said we had four movies worth of footage. It was so fun, but so weird. I don't get it. I couldn't figure it out."
Pretty lame attempt at replicating and mashing up the successes of Scream and Ginger Snaps. There are a couple fun beats, Christina Ricci tries her damnedest and the Hollywood setting is pretty cool, but overall this is just a lame dog. It's really unfortunate that the studio interfered soo hard, because you could see the seeds of something pretty cool, but instead we get a goofy werewolf movie, with horrendous CGI and groanworthy jokes. I wish I could see that original cut.
Are you sure this isn't a vampire movie? Because there's a pack of talent in this cursed movie that sucks out everything fun in horror movies. And when I say 'it sucks', I mean really hard.
It's pretty much exactly what you expect it to be. It's not terrible or unwatchable, but it's the kind of movie you let play while you're doing something else that's occupying your real brain cells. I'm sure if I'd paid complete attention to it I'd of felt like I wasted my time.
