[9.1/10] Not quite sure where to write a review for "RADIORAMA" the podcast-only episode of *Futurama* released by Nerdist, so I'm doing it here. Suffice it to say, it was great! It took advantage of the medium wonderfully, with the descriptions of Fry's 3D sculpture and other bits that work uniquely in audio differently than they would in a fully animated episode. Little self-aware bits, like radio play-style ads for borax flakes, self-aware gags about the mobile game and omnipresence of podcasts, kept the meta-flair that Futurama always embraced. And the episode also tells a nice story, with a convincing romantic angle for Fry and Leela, and amusing tale of Bender and his mom (a pneumatic arm) and, of course, a globe threatening techno-monster. All the while, it was hilarious, featuring the sort of snappy humor the series was known for. I have to admit, I was a little leery about bringing the show back, even for a single episode, since it's been cancelled and revived so many times and even seemed to have lost the magic at points, but this was brilliant, funny, and well-suited to how it was delivered. Go listen now!
