As suspected, this is cheap slop. More along the lines of the quality of Tracker. A shadow of the highs of Yellowstone and a little less than the lows of Yellowstone. It's just formulaic, simplistic and uninspiring.
I’m guessing they rushed this through writing and production. Has all the Sheridan-isms but it’s missing the soul that made Yellowstone amazing. Finding a Zoe clone (Lioness) was a mistake. She’s good, but Zoe was stellar in Lioness. They should have cast someone else. Gunfight in this episode was no where near the ones in YS. I guess they needed the Wyoming angle to make it interesting but so far this feels phoned in. If it wasn’t for Grimes I’d probably skip it.
That's it for me - I'm out. NCIS: Yellowstone...no thanks.
The budget’s lion share definitely went to Dutton Ranch though 😂😂😂.
Seems like this show is finally finding its footing. The dialogue was way more interesting this time around, and we got some really great acting work from Luke Grimes as well.
