more dei woke nonsense.. pass
I wasn’t expecting much from this so imagine my surprise at walking out of the theater aglow with enjoyment. This is a blast, giving old timers like me the fan service I need while making it palatable for kids today. It even gives canon explanations for the sillier aspects of the source material while still holding true to the original. With fun and bombast action, an enjoyable story, and a flow of humor that fits naturally into the adventure this is a great time for young and old. Would Recommend
For the first 30 minutes of "Masters of the Universe," I really thought this reboot could be a real hit. The characters and the world are introduced very effectively, the visual style is spot-on, and the humor works well, too. Ultimately, though, the film lost its momentum as it went on, and at some point, it starts trying way too hard to emulate the vibe the MCU is known for. This raises the question once again: If the film doesn’t take itself even remotely seriously, why should the audience? That said, it’s a competently directed film right up to the end, and I have no issues with the acting either. But in terms of the narrative, it’s just unremarkable, resulting in nothing more than a very mediocre film overall. I’d definitely be very surprised if this movie turns out to be a box office success.
Overtall a really fun movie. I'm a kid of the 80's and loved all of the random throwback stuff they put in this movie. Story was good. I think Leto did a great job as Skeletor. There is a midcredit and after credit scene. The after credit scene you knew was coming while watching the film. The midcredit scene was the best of the two. The theater was clapping and cheering during that one.
I agree with many posters. Why they have to make it like he is funny. Make a serious characters. Cartoon is better.
