Season 5
Local celebrities in New Zealand try out their dancing shoes in this Kiwi version of the popular show Strictly Come Dancing, that pairs celebrities with professional dancers. They have to complete different types of dancing such as Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango, Waltz, Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Paso Doble, Rumba and Samba. The judges and the audience vote on the couples performances and then the team with the least number of scores is eliminated until only two couples remain. The final two will then have to compete against each other in order to win Dancing with the Stars.
Episode 1
Eight celebrities and their professional partners train in order to take home the title of Dancing With The Stars. In this non-elimination night they must perform either the Waltz or the Cha Cha Cha.
Episode 2
On the second round, the teams performed either the Paso Doble or the Foxtrot in order to win the votes from both the judges and the audience. By the end, the votes are tallied and it's time to say goodbye to the first team.
Episode 3
On tonights episode, the seven remaining teams performed wither the Quickstep or the Rumba and a shocking non-elimination round.
Episode 4
Tonight the six remaining couples will be dancing either the Jive or the Tango as a third pair is eliminated.
Episode 5
All five couples are performing the party-flavored Samba and American Smooth Waltz.
Episode 6
It is the quarter-finals and the four remaining couples must perform a Latin and a Ballroom dance they have not previously performed from the past five weeks.
Episode 7
The contestants and their partners had to perform two dances hey have not yet danced on the show. This week, Tamati & Samantha are performing the Jive and the Rumbasynop, Josh & Rachel are dancing the Cha Cha Cha and the Tango and Barbara & Jonny are doing the Rumba and the Foxtrot, plus the last elimination takes place.
Episode 8
The two celebrities and their professional partners perform for the judges and home viewers three dances: one Ballroom, one Latin and a Freestyle routine.
