Yikes, really disappointed to see the writers go with a Russia Collusion story for this season.
So I binge watched this very late... This annoying storyline with Carrie Mathison and her daughter
finally gets to an end. Maybe it was an analogy to the president. Similar to to Carrie obsessing over the legal guardianship of her daughter, but not actually caring for her the president was obsessed with staying president and fighting her enemies but not actually doing something with that presidency, all this trouble in the end to give it away.
I get that Carrie and her daughter troubles were a tool to move the plot along but it became stupider and stupider. It was a lot of fun to bring back Russia as en enemy for spy movies and series but in the end a bit toothless. A small threat of "aggression" and they cave in
It's just incredible how this show keeps giving and giving. The ending certainly leaves a lot of opportunities for the next season. Again, a splendid acting effort by the actors/actresses, specifically Claire Danes, and I hope to see some more great stuff to help end the final season of Homeland.
Just as Carrie's
increasingly erratic behaviour causes the patience of those close to her to wear thin
, as does mine with this show
I like Homeland but give it an end already.
